Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic severe muscle wasting disease for which there is no cure. Across the UK the NHS provides access to specialist Muscle Centres that provide vital Health Care and support for patients and their families living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Action Duchenne is a UK Duchenne patient Charity that promotes best practice Health Care and research for new treatments.

Action Duchenne’s Muscle Centre website provides current information on the services provided for Adults (18 + years) by Centres across the country. We have surveyed Muscle Centres by contacting their lead neuromuscular consultants and NHS Hospital Trusts. Feedback has been compiled for families in table format to give patients an idea of the range of support and services offered by Centres close to home. We would also like to invite families and those living with Duchenne in particular to send us your comments on UK Muscle Centre provision.
